Recovery Group

Introduction
Without truly exploring the theology behind whether homosexuality is a “sin” or not, many Christians simply assume the interpretation of the mainstream churches as the “whole truth”. For individuals in a faith/sexual orientation crisis, a lack of genuine understanding can at times result in personal trauma, including:
  • Being overcome with doubt rather than faith, resulting in them perhaps leaving church fellowship and even an active relationship with God.
  • Become sexually promiscuous upon the hope of them achieving genuine love dissipating.
  • Become depressed & even suicidal due to low self-esteem and hopelessness.
  • Marrying someone of the opposite sex and have children in order to “fix the problem”, but ending up creating more heartache and sadness for themselves, friends and family.
  • Trying to change one’s own sexual orientation but failing resulting in living in induced guilt, and blames from others for not being determined enough to seek deliverance and restoration.
Is this the life God intends us to live? Is homosexuality really a sin? Is it possible for homosexuals to truly be Christians?

Through Bible study, prayer, devotion and personal sharing in small groups, BMCF’s Recovery Group seeks to provide the opportunity for the Spirit of God to heal wounded souls, allow individuals to rediscover relationship with God, and to enable the development of your spiritual life.
